According to Jamaica Observer, reports have gone viral on the internet and social networks that the Deejay Vybz Kartel and seven other inmates held guards hostage at gunpoint minutes after 1:00 am and stole uniforms and a vehicle belonging to the Correctional Services department before escaping.
